From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

West Ham United will hope to build on Wednesday's victory over Burnley when they face fellow strugglers Hull City at the London Stadium.

Elsewhere, champions Leicester City travel to Stoke City, Middlesbrough entertain Swansea City and basement club Sunderland look for a much-needed three points against Watford.

SUNDERLAND 0 - 0 WATFORD

STOKE 1 - 0  LEICESTER

GOAL

The home side win a penalty for a handball from Simpson following a Bojan cross.

Bojan looked nervous before he took the penalty, but he managed to maintained his composure and slot the ball past Schmeichel from the spot.

STOKE 2 - 0 LEICESTER

GOAL

Allen pounces on a parried save from Schmeichel to double his sides tally before the interval. It's a straight forward goal, that gives Ranieri's men a huge job to do in the second half.

SUNDERLAND 0 - 0 WATFORD

The visitors dominated possession prior to the interval and the second half has started in a very similar style. They are passing the ball and their work-rate is faultless. However, their efforts are unrewarded so far with the scores remaining level.

SUNDERLAND 1 - 0 WATFORD

GOAL

Against the run of play, it's Van Aanholt who has given the home side the one goal advantage.

The ball gets squared into the six yard box and the 26-year-old turns and pulls the trigger with a left-footed strike, in off the post.

STOKE 2 - 0 LEICESTER

A cross goes into the box towards Walters, who heads the ball from eight yards out, but Schmeichel leaps up and parries the ball away. It's an athletic save that denies Stoke's third.

MIDDLESBROUGH 3 - 0 SWANSEA

GOAL

Ramirez is on the right, he then puts the ball into the box towards De Roon who steers it past Fabianski. That's the third and Bradley's men really do have a job to do.

WEST HAM 0 - 0 HULL

Maguire gets up and heads the ball over the keeper, but Fernandez is there to save the ball off the line. For a 0-0 scoreline, there is no end to excitement in this fixture.

WEST HAM 0 - 0 HULL

The ball comes out to Snodgrass on the edge of the box and it's a technically terrific strike, but it ends up on the roof of the net.
