Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Benalouane latches onto a delivery into the danger zone from Mahrez, but his shot fails to test the keeper and it flies across the face of goal.

GOAL

CHELSEA 1 - 1 CRYSTAL PALACE

Zaha has equalised at Stamford Bridge, after turning quickly and executing an impressive strike whilst surrounded by a sea of Chelsea shirts. Top stuff from the 24-year-old.

GOAL

CHELSEA 1 - 2 CRYSTAL PALACE

Benteke combines again with Zaha and he cleverly chips the ball over Courtois to give the visitors the lead. This was not in the script for Conte's men.

WATFORD 0 - 0 SUNDERLAND

It's been an energetic start from both sides here at Vicarage Road, with Januzaj coming close to opening the scoring. He cuts in from the wing, but his attempted strike is parried away by Gomez.

HULL CITY 0 - 0 WEST HAM

Snodgrass wastes a fantastic opportunity to open the scoring at the KCOM Stadium from close range. His headed attempt falls straight into the hands of the keeper.

BURNLEY 0 - 0 TOTTENHAM

It has been a slow start so far for the visitors, with the Burnley defence remaining untested so far. The home side are controlling possession and look the more likely of the two sides to score an opener.

LEICESTER 0 - 0 STOKE CITY

Drinkwater finds Vardy, who picks out Gray. The striker picks up possession and goes for goal from 25 yard. It looks although it's only a matter of time before The Foxes take the lead here.

LEICESTER 1 - 0 STOKE CITY

Ndidi scores from 30 yards with his right foot, leaving Grant helpless to such a sublime strike. Game on!

BURNLEY 0 - 0 TOTTENHAM

Both sides are struggling to find their feet here at Turf Moor, with Spurs shaky away form proving evident here. It has been a dreary start to the game so far, but Burnley deserve credit for their organisation and discipline so far.
