Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

- Stoke 12:30 Leicester
- Huddersfield 15:00 West Brom
- Newcastle 15:00 Bournemouth
- Southampton 15:00 Burnley
- Swansea 15:00 Brighton
- West Ham 17:30 Liverpool
19' - Liverpool have started this match without any real spark. They're struggling to break down West Ham, who are getting a lot of men behind the ball when the Reds are in possession.
GOAL! West Ham 0-1 Liverpool (Salah)
22' - Liverpool break to devastating effect after a West Ham corner and it's Sadio Mane who plays a key role. The Reds have a two-on-one situation and Mane waits for Aaron Cresswell to commit himself before rolling the ball across to Mo Salah, who slots a cool finish past Joe Hart.
That was a devastating move by the visitors but West Ham's defending was equally poor.
GOAL! West Ham 0-2 Liverpool (Matip)
24' - Joe Hart makes a superb save to prevent Mark Noble from scoring an own-goal after a Mo Salah corner but the ball rebounds straight to the feet of Liverpool defender Joel Matip, who has an easy tap-in inside the six-yard box.
Game over?
29' - Roberto Firmino has the ball on the left wing and whips a dangerous-looking cross in towards Emre Can. However, the Brazilian's cross has a little bit too much on it and Joe Hart can catch it easily.
36' - West Ham's reaction to going two goals down hasn't been great - they're yet to register a single shot on target.
44' - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain plays a lovely through ball to Mo Salah but the Egyptian's first touch takes the ball too close to Winston Reid and the West Ham defender gets across to put the ball behind for a corner. That was a good chance for a third Liverpool goal.
