1 min: An early free-kick wide on the left to Spurs as Rose is fouled. Eriksen swings it in and Gomes comes out with a good, strong punch.
3 mins: Spurs pressing game already in full flow as the hassle the Watford players on the ball. The ball really moving on the wet surface too.
6 mins: First effort on goal and it comes from Son for Spurs, who finds a lot of room 30 yards out and shoots left-footed but it's easily held by Gomes.
8 mins: Wanyama wins Spurs their first corner of the afternoon. Cathcart clears for Watford.
10 mins: Spurs certainly the better side in the opening 10 minutes. Trippier swings a cross into the area but it drifts out for a throw in to Watford.
11 mins: Big penalty appeal for Spurs as Eriksen's shot strikes Capoue on the arm inside the area. It would have been harsh, Capou was only a few yards away when Eriksen hit it.
