Your support makes all the difference.Manchester United could strengthen further this month with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer inspiring the Red Devils towards a Premier League title challenge, meaning a signing or two in the January transfer window could prove pivotal over the coming months.
United can go top of the Premier League should they win their game in hand after a superb run of form leading up to and during the festive period. They currently sit joint-top of the Premier League with rivals Liverpool on goal difference thanks to the hard-fought win over Aston Villa on Friday night. The rollercoaster season under Solskjaer saw United exit from the Champions League last month. But with domestic fortunes back on the rise there is reason to be optimistic again at Old Trafford.
That optimism could lead to a busier January than was once expected with money available should the right target or targets reveal themselves. Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba is among the potential new recruits, and Ecuadorean midfielder Moises Caicedo is another such name. Summer signing Amad Diallo could join both in Manchester this month with his paperwork finally set to be resolved. Serie A side Atalanta were keen to keep hold of him until the summer but the suggestion is he could be on his way to bolster Solskjaer’s title challengers imminently.
There will likely be exits this month, too, with the likes of Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones possible outgoings. Midfielder Jesse Lingard won’t be one of them, however, after seeing a one-year extension option in his contract triggered last week.
We will have all the latest Manchester United news, rumours and gossip – on both comings and goings – throughout the day.
COLE QUESTIONS GREALISH TO UNITED LINKS
Former United striker Andy Cole has suggested Jack Grealish might struggle to fit into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team if he were to join from Aston Villa .
The England international has excelled in the Premier League this season, leading to speculation over a possible switch to Old Trafford.
“I think Grealish is a super player. I’m not going to sit here and say anything different," Cole told talkSPORT. “But I’m looking at Manchester United’s midfield at the moment, where would you play him?
“You look at Bruno [Fernandes], the performances he’s putting in; that’s the position [Grealish] likes to play in.
“If you put him off the left, [Marcus] Rashford plays there… so where would you play him again?
“But I’m a mere mortal when it comes to things like this. I’m like everybody else from the outside looking in.”
Donny van de Beek is set for more game time next season if Paul Pogba departs Manchester United in the summer, as expected according to The Athletic. Here’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: “Donny has played well when he’s had chance. We’re too quick to jump on ‘He’s not playing it’s a failure’ but you know we can see now with Victor and Fred as examples, it takes time. They’re massively important and it will be same with Donny.”

ERIKSEN OFFERED TO ANOTHER PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB AMID UNITED INTEREST
Christian Eriksen has been offered to West Ham as Inter look to offload the midfielder in the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
The former Spurs man has been heavily linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, while Wolves and Ajax have reportedly spoken to the player's representatives.
DYBALA ‘SH*TS HIMSELF’ UNDER PRESSURE
Manchester United have again been linked with Juventus forward Paolo Dybala, but outspoken former Italy international Antonio Cassano would probably advise them to look elsewhere.
The Argentine has yet to sign a new contract with the Bianconeri, leading to speculation over his future. And Cassano is clearly not impressed.
"All his coaches at Juventus did not consider him necessary, so I wonder if he is a champion or a great player," he said.
"For me he is not a champion, he does not make the difference. He has [scored] good goals, like I saw [Antonio] Di Natale and [Lorenzo] Insigne do. But if you want to take Juventus' No.10 [shirt], you have to be at a higher level.
"I have the feeling that, when they put pressure on him, he sh*ts himself!
"And then he asks for €10m per season? Oh, please!"

UNITED RECALL ON-LOAN GOALKEEPER
Matej Kovar has been recalled by United and will return from his loan spell at League One side Swindon Town.
The 20-year-old was certainly tested in the third tier, conceding 41 goals in 20 appearances for the struggling Robins.
According to the Swindon Advertiser, "too many costly performances and a lack of confidence in his ability from Town's management ultimately saw his time in Swindon end prematurely".

ATALANTA BOSS SAYS DIALLO WILL ‘CLEARLY’ JOIN UNITED
Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini appears to have all but confirmed Amad Diallo's move to Manchester United, despite admitting to "difficulties" in negotiations between the clubs.
The 18-year-old was signed for £37m in October but failed to secure a work permit and was sent back on loan to the Serie A team.
But there have been suggestions that he could be on the verge of joining up with United.
"There seemed to be transfer difficulties but as soon as they are unlocked the player clearly goes to Manchester United," Gasperini told Corriere dello Sport.
"It is clear that he is going to Manchester United, but he could still remain here for a few months with us. I like him a lot, he's only 18. I'd like him to stay until June, obviously it depends on his club."
