Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Manchester United are looking to build on their up-turn in form in the Premier League, as well as their convincing win in the Champions League, when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford.

Manchester City travel to Cardiff City, where they were winners in a feisty FA Cup contest last season, and Liverpool host Southampton.

Crystal Palace are looking to make it back-to-back wins when they host Newcastle United and Leicester City will want to bounce-back against Huddersfield Town after losing heavily against Bournmouth, who travel to Burnley.

Crystal Palace vs Newcastle

An update from Selhurst, The Independent's Ed Malyon says:

"Wilfried Zaha had some issues in the warm-up with what looked like a back spasm or back issue. Despite walking down the tunnel gingerly he is deemed fit to start, though hasn’t looked his sharper self thus far. Palace have had the only chance of the game when James McArthur headed over Andros Townsend’s cross."
