Huddersfield are nearly safe as Swansea and Southampton play each other next but could do without a heavy defeat given their inferior goal difference – it is the second worst in the division.

So the day has finally come, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy after a record breaking campaign.

Huddersfield are not here just to make up the numbers at Manchester City's title party, they have a serious job on their hands.
Everton's late equaliser against Southampton will have ignited celebrations in Yorkshire that would be audible at Goodison Park because a Saints win would have been disastrous for Huddersfield.
An unlikely win this afternoon would secure safety but Huddersfield and a second season in the Premier League, however, any points at the Etihad would be crucial for David Wagners side, who face Chelsea and Arsenal in their remaining two games.
So you would think Pep Guardiola would be pretty happy with Manchester City's season, right? Well not quite. The league title is an important victory to show 'consistency,' but the absence of Champions League final is a disappointment.

David Wagner has issued his rallying cry for Huddersfield to have a fairytale ending to their Premier League season.
“Every game has an exciting story and we are part of each story. We have to make sure that at least one of the stories is positive for Huddersfield.”
Last time
Manchester City battled hard and hit back late on at the John Smith stadium to snatch a victory in the 84th minute and overturned a Huddersfield lead.
Nicolas Otamendi's own goal in the first half gave Huddersfield an unlikely lead, but second half strikes from Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling ensured City's winning streak continued.
Ederson begins his goalkeeping warm up. We should not expect him to take a penalty after the Brazilian said the only thing missing from his season is a goal, and he volunteered to take a spot kick! Well his manager, Pep Guardiola, said that out of respect for his opponents and the competition he will not be taking a penalty, however he can in friendlies.
