Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The Premier League champions-elect Manchester City face the champions of two years ago, Leicester City, at the Etihad Stadium looking to extend their lead at the top of the table to 16 points over their nearest rivals, in every sense, Manchester United.
This game also has the added subplot of Riyad Mahrez, who was determined to leave Leicester in January to join Guardiola's expensively assembled squad – he returns to the bench this evening.

16' - City, as you might expect, are in total control here. They're dominating possession and a second goal doesn't look to be too far away.
21' - Sergio Aguero is threaded through on goal by Raheem Sterling but the pass has too much on it and forces the Argentine striker a little wide. Aguero attempts to cut back inside but Marc Albrighton gets back well to dispossess him.
GOAL! Manchester City 1-1 Leicester (Vardy)
24' - That's a great goal.
Jamie Vardy skips past Ilkay Gundogan before shifting the ball onto his right foot and drilling the ball into the bottom corner, via a deflection off Aymeric Laporte.
Game on!
29' - Leicester stopper Kasper Schmeichel is called into action twice in quick succession as he parries Kyle Walker's angled effort before easily catching Fernandinho's effort on the follow-up.
33' - Kevin De Bruyne tries to beat Kasper Schmeichel at his near post but the Leicester goalkeeper is equal to it and parries the ball behind for a corner, which comes to nothing for the hosts.
39' - This has turned into a really good game since Jamie Vardy's equaliser. Leicester are going toe-to-toe with the hosts and they're giving a solid account of themselves.
41' - That's magnificent defending.
Raheem Sterling rounds Kasper Schmeichel and only has to slot the ball into an empty net... but Aleksander Dragovic gets back superbly to block the winger's shot behind for a corner.
