Manchester City welcome Antonio Conte's Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium in what should be one of the stand-out fixtures of the season so far.
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The two sides are separated by a single point, with the Blues sitting pretty at the top of the league on 31 points and City a single point behind on 30.
Victory will hand either side a massive boost in their title campaigns as the two continue to set the pace for the rest of the league.
Pep Guardiola's men have the opportunity to overtake their London rivals, but to do so would require breaking down Chelsea's seemingly impenetrable defence.
Conte's defence has conceded just one goal in their last seven games as the side continues to thrive under the coach's new formation.
But with the home advantage, City will know that today is their opportunity to strike and stake their claim for that top spot.

Tottenham 15.00 Swansea
West Brom 15.00 Watford

STOKE 2 - 0 BURNLEY
Burnley have came out of the blocks quickly this half, so Dyche must have said a few stern words during interval. Whatever he said, it appears to be working. The visitors have a job to do, but it's far from over.
WEST BROM 2 - 0 WATFORD
Watford continue to dominate the home side, but they are failing to convert possession into goals. It's been a slow start for the side, but the way they are playing, they're far from out of it.
TOTTENHAM 3 - 0 SWANSEA CITY
Goal! It's a brilliant counter attack from Spurs - Son picks up the ball and he pulls it back to Kane and fires a right footed strike into the net for the third of the afternoon. Great goal from Pochettino's men, who appear to be in prolific form today.
These two players have been crucial today for the home side at White Hart Lane.
SUNDERLAND 0 - 0 LEICESTER
It remains the only game with no goals, and the home fans are starting to become restless. It's all level and it looks like it will stay this if neither time are able to step it up a gear, or two.
WEST BROM 2 - 1 WATFORD
Kabasele has got the first goal for his side this afterrnoon! Could this mark a comeback for the visitors? It was a goal from close range, following a pulled back ball from Deeney.
SUNDERLAND 1 - 0 LEICESTER
The ball gets whipped in from Larsson a headed attempt deflects off Huth and flies into the back of the net. Own goal.
TOTTENHAM 3 - 0 SWANSEA
Goal! Eriksen makes the most of another defensive lapse from Swansea, and pokes home a simple finish. Alli had the shot and Fabianski parried it into the path of Eriksen, who will not score an easier goal than that for a while.
CRYSTAL PALACE 2 - 0 SOUTHAMPTON
Fonte runs onto a through ball, he's through on goal but fails to even hit the target. That's a horrendous attempt from the Portuguese professional.
SUNDERLAND 2 - 0 LEICESTER
Goal! A shot from Wantmore is blocked and rebounds into the path of Defoe. Who else would you want waiting 12 yards out, ready to pounce on a loose ball? He buries it into the back of the net with a composed strike. Sunderland deserve this two goal lead.
