From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Liverpool will start the match top of the Premier League for the tenth time this season which is more times than they’ve ever done in a single season and Leicester will need to be at their best if they are to get anything from the game. Follow it live:

It’s a big game for…
Jamie Vardy: The Leicester striker has scored seven goals in his eight Premier League appearances against Liverpool, his best record against any team in the division. Will he be able to get an eighth and match Thierry Henry’s record against the side?

Best stat…
19: Liverpool have not lost any of their last 19 league matches played on a weekday.
Player to watch…
Mohamed Salah: The Egyptian has scored six goals in his last six league appearances and, with 16 goals, is the league’s top scorer and Liverpool’s go to man. If he fires, Liverpool should win comfortably so his finishing form will need to be kept in check by Leicester if the visitors are to get something from the game.

Liverpool to win 3-1
Full time in the 7.45pm kick offs. Bournemouth have a great win over Chelsea and Crystal Palace hold on the draw at Southampton:
Bournemouth 4 - 0 Chelsea
Southampton 1 - 1 Crystal Palace

What a turnaround for Tottenham! Danny Rose crosses the ball into the box and Fernando Llorente heads it into the bottom left corner to give Spurs the lead in the closing minutes.
90+2 mins: Liverpool 1 - 1 Leicester
Liverpool are piling on the pressure searching for a winner. Lallana sprints down the right side to the byline and squares the ball but Jonny Evans reads the play and clears it.
Tottenham 2 - 1 Watford
Spurs come back from a goal down to defeat Watford at Wembley. They've now equalled Bolton Wanderers record of 28 Premier League games without a draw.
Liverpool 1 - 1 Leicester
Liverpool had a fast start to the match but dropped off in quality as the game went on. Harry Maguire gave Leicester the equaliser on the stroke of half time and the visitors hung on a defended well to earn a point at Anfield.
