Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Goal!
Chelsea 3 - 0 Stoke
I said this could be a cricket score. Willian sets up Pedro who fires the ball into the bottom corner from inside the box. The Stoke defence are giving Chelsea's creative players way too much time in the area.
Watford 1 - 0 Swansea
24: The hosts are well on top now, they are comfortable and Swansea have no answers to Andre Carrillo's early goal.
Huddersfield 0 - 0 Burnley
26: Burnley are on top at Huddersfield but are yet to work a clear chance to score, Scott Arfield is the latest to go close but his glancing header is wide.
Watford 1 - 0 Swansea
Andre Carrillo leads the celebrations as Watford go a goal up against Swansea.
Goal
Bournemouth 1 - 0 Everton
32: The hosts regain possession and break forward. Josh King and Callum Wilson combine to set up Ryan Fraser scores with a tidy finish. Sam Allardyce will be furious with how his side gave the ball away.
Liverpool 0 - 1 Leicester
35: Kasper Schmeichel is starting to take his time to take goal kicks and restart play, this might be a long game for Liverpool who are behind after Jamie Vardy's early goal. As expected the Reds have all of the possession but so far, Mohamed Salah has twice come close and Sadio Mane had a goal ruled out for offside.
Chelsea 3 - 0 Stoke
39: Stoke have the ball in the back of the net but no goal is given. Mame Diouf gets on the of Charlie Adam's cross and heads in but he is pulled back for what looks like offside but on closer inspection it looks like he handled the ball to control it.
