Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Liverpool will look to get back to winning ways at Hull City on Saturday, with the relegation-threatened Tigers seeming to have improved under new manager Marco Silva.
The Portuguese's men held Manchester United at Old Trafford in midweek, and may prove to be a test for Jurgen Klopp's side, who have struggled to break down solid opponents in recent weeks.

EVERTON 3 - 0 BOURNEMOUTH
The home side are in cruise control at the moment, with Bournemouth failing to string a pass together. The three goal deficit appears too much of a challenge for Howe's men. Half-time cannot come quick enough for them.
CRYSTAL PALACE 0 - 2 SUNDERLAND
GOAL
N'Dong doubles the visitors tally with a tremendous left-footed strike, in off the post. No chance for Hennessey there.
HULL 1 - 0 LIVERPOOL
GOAL
N'Diaye makes the most of some questionable goalkeeping and a goalmouth scramble to give the home side the advantage.
SOUTHAMPTON 1 - 2 WEST HAM UNITED
GOAL
Obiang scores the second just before the interval with a right-footed strike from 25 yards.
CRYSTAL PALACE 0 - 3 SUNDERLAND

The ball gets cut back to Defoe, he shifts it onto his left-foot and hits it early to beat the goalkeeper.
WATFORD 2 - 0 BURNLEY
GOAL
Holebas delivers a ball into the box and Niang manages to head the ball across the goal and into the back of the net.
CRYSTAL PALACE 0 - 4 SUNDERLAND
GOAL
Defoe has done it again and he's created this one out of nowhere. He picks the ball up and swivels back on himself and in one movement, he buries it through the goalkeepers legs.
