From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. After over an hour of trying, Liverpool finally hit back against Chelsea to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League. Eden Hazard struck in the first half to ensure Maurizio Sarri's side came out on top after an intense opening period, but Daniel Strurridge's wonderful late goal means the points are shared.

The home side had defended well and David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger were on hand to clear off the line to prevent Liverpool scoring an earlier equaliser. Xheradan Shaqiri also went close with an effort going wide from close range and Alisson was called on several times to keep Chelsea's early lead to just one goal.

Preview

What time does it start?

Chelsea vs Liverpool kicks off at 5:30pm (BST) on Saturday 29 September.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 1 from 5:00pm (BST).

BT Sport subscribers can also watch online via the BT Sport app.

Highlights will be shown at 10:30pm on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool winger has not quite found the miraculous form of last season as of yet, and will go to Stamford Bridge with a chip on his shoulder against his former club. Salah, who was unable to make an impact in the midweek defeat as a late substitute, was barely given a chance during his time at Chelsea from 2014 to 2016, and will want to silence the home fans with an eye-catching performance.

Best stat…

Three: Chelsea have only won three of their last 11 home games against Liverpool in the Premier League. Liverpool have won five.

Player to watch…

Eden Hazard: The Belgium captain is thriving under Sarri at the moment, and is the joint top scorer in the Premier League currently with five goals from six matches. The 27-year-old will be itching to attack Liverpool’s defence, after his wonderful solo goal in the last few minutes won the Carabao Cup tie on Wednesday. He’ll need to beat a different goalkeeper this time though, with Allison likely to come back into the starting XI after Simon Mignolet started in midweek.

Past three meetings…

Liverpool 1 (Sturridge) Chelsea 2 (Emerson, Hazard), Carabao Cup, September 2018

Chelsea 1 (Giroud) Liverpool 0, Premier League, May 2018

Liverpool 1 (Salah) Chelsea 1 (Willian), Premier League, November 2017

68: Hazard tangles with Henderson and ends up in a heap in the penalty area. The fans call for a penalty, but the referee having none of it. It seemed like more of a coming together than a foul.

70: Oh no. Ohhh nooo. How has Shaqiri not scored?

Robertson curls a low cross from deep and Shaqiri is in space to tap home in front of goal, but he tires to be too precise and his delicate touch goes wide.

72: Off the line again!

Milner stands up a cross to the middle and Firmino heads down beyond Kepa, but the ball is turned away by David Luiz from the line. He's saved Chelsea there.

73: Victor Moses comes on for Willian as Chelsea attempt to reduce the regularity of Liverpool's chances.

77: Milner matches Moses as he breaks forward and brings him down to stop a three vs three situation.

78: Jordan Henderson is coming off from Naby Keita and the Liverpool skipper is seemingly disappointed to be leaving the pitch with his side down. Ross Barkley also comes on for Mateo Kovacic for Chelsea.

82: Wijnaldum plays a blind pass towards his goalkeeper and Morata almost intercepts on the edge of the box.

Liverpool pushing for an equaliser but Chelsea are holding firm.

83: Liverpool win a free kick and it's Shaqiri to take....saved. It's hit straight at Kepa from the edge of the box.

86: Daniel Sturridge comes on for James Milner as Liverpool begin to throw everything they have at Chelsea.
