Özil missed last weekend’s victory over West Ham United that saw Arsenal record their first win of the season, having picked up yet another illness that ruled him out of the game. The German has trained all week though, convincing Emery to start with the attacking midfielder despite beating West Ham last weekend without him. That means Uruguay midfielder Torreira is yet to win his first start, having been used as a substitute so far this season.
Cardiff meanwhile are yet to win a game this season, and will hope to recover from the disappointing midweek defeat by Norwich City in the Carabao Cup in order to give their home fans something to cheer about.

Here's how the hosts, Cardiff, line up this afternoon:
Cardiff are yet to score on their return to the Premier League but they've still accumulated two points from their first three games courtesy of their pair of 0-0 draws.
They'll likely feel today is a good chance to grab at least one goal considering Arsenal's defensive woes but there's sure to be a lot of defending asked of them too with both Lacazette and Aubameyang in the Gunners' starting XI.

Neil Warnock sure had something to say about Ramsey's return...
"I hope we can rough him up - Needs must"
Mesut Ozil is back in the starting line up for the Gunners today after an illness ruled him out of last week's victory against West Ham.
However, rumours were circulating that Emery is not best pleased with the German so far and Luke Brown has been looking into what role he'll have at the Gunners under their new coach?
