Fresh from a last-gasp win in the Merseyside derby on Sunday, Liverpool cut the lead to just two points once again and continue their charge in leading the chasing pack against the reigning champions.
Jack Cork put Burnley in front but James Milner, Roberto Firmino and Xherdan Shaqiri hit back to earn Liverpool all three points. Re-live the action below.

Virgil van Dijk’s skewed volley that set up Divock Origi’s winner in Sunday’s Merseyside derby required the sort of luck you only get when you’re towards the top of the table. It was by no means a work of art, but the ball’s peculiar route to goal represented much of Liverpool’s season so far. The blistering attacks of last season haven’t resurfaced this time round as Jurgen Klopp’s side have been getting results with more pragmatism than panache.
How Burnley could use some of that fortune. Sean Dyche’s own pragmatic ruggedness has abandoned his side this season. The Clarets only need to concede 10 more goals to match their total for the whole of last season. For the Lancashire side it will seem a lifetime ago that they miraculously finished 7th in the Premier League and earned themselves a spot in the Europa League.
After Manchester City’s narrow victory last night, Liverpool can’t afford to drop points if they realistically want to keep pace with the champions. Pep Guardiola’s side have raised the requirement for winning the title to at least 90 points, making clashes against opposition at the wrong end of the table must win games.

Naby Keita: He’s struggled with injuries so far this season, but Keita could be exactly what Liverpool need in midfield on Wednesday night. His form in the Bundesliga was so impressive, Klopp was willing to wait a year before bringing him in with the rest of the squad, and with Burnley likely to sit back, the Guinean international could be the key to unlock the door at Turf Moor.

An argument could be made that the Brazilian had both hands on the ball, and there may have been an offside in the build up, but the goal stands and Burnley have the lead against the run of play.
