Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Burnley continued their good recent run with a comfortable win at Brighton.

Chris Wood scored twice before Ashley Barnes wrapped up all three points from the spot as the Clarets moved out of the bottom three.

Here's how it played out:

So, it's half time in each of the 3pm Premier League games, with five goals being scored in the first 45 minutes.

Georgino Wijnaldum's beautiful lob was the highlight of the first half, coming a few minutes after Sadio Mane had controversially given Liverpool the lead, appearing to head in from an offside position.

Alex Lacazette has underlined his importance to Arsenal with a goal just before half-time, after Alex Iwobi's deflected volley had given the Gunners the lead.

Mark Noble's penalty is the difference at Selhurst Park, and while the goalless game at Vicarage Road has been an intense affair, there is not a lot to speak about at St Mary's.

Startling.

Looks like he's not just integral to West Ham....

We're back underway in all five games. Can Huddersfield make an unlikely comeback?

Can Bournemouth do the same at Anfield? And will we see any breakthroughs at Vicarage Road and St Mary's?

49 min: Huddersfield 0-2 Arsenal

Good start from the hosts to the second half, and Bacuna's effort from 25 yards encapsulates it, but Leno saves well.

The German does extremely well to save from Diakhaby moments later when it looked easier to score.
