Alexis Sanchez: The tricky Chilean is Arsenal’s most influential player, and against an entertaining Bournemouth side, the Gunners will need him to be at his best. Since Arsenal’s 5-1 demolition of West Ham at the beginning of the month, Sanchez has only netted a solitary goal, in a 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

Benik Afobe: The former Wolves striker is a live wire in the box and Arsenal’s centre-backs will have to frustrate himto keep him quiet. Afobe has bagged two goals in his last five Premier League games, one being last time out in the 3-0 win away at Swansea, and the 23-year-old will want to build on that here against Arsenal.

After Yohan Cabaye had fouled Ki Sung-Yueng out on the left wing, Gylfi Sigurdsson curled a set-piece into the penalty area, and there was Alfie Mawson to flick home a first goal for his new club with his head. Four minutes before the break and that is some welcome relief for new Swans boss Paul Clement.
SECOND HALF KICK-OFF: Arsenal restart for the second half at Dean Court. An hour ago they were one win away from reclaiming third spot in the Premier League and closing the gap on Liverpool to a point. That looks a long way away right now. Can they rescue something remarkable in the next three quarters of an hour?

On the stroke of half-time, Ryan Shawcross has volleyed Stoke City in front against Watford. The visitors switched off as Charlie Adam whipped in a corner from the left, and that allowed the centre-half to hook home a shot beyond teammate Bruno Martins Indi and goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes. Advantage Stoke at the break.
50 mins: Arsenal have come out on the front foot as you would expect, and a neat flick from Olivier Giroud sends Aaron Ramsey on the attack. A sweet first touch from the Welshman is bettered by his second and then a third as he travels past two defenders into the area. Unfortunately for him, his fourth is heavy and that gives Francis the opportunity to get in and clear.

Bournemouth celebrations...are cut short! Home fans and players alike believe they have bagged a third goal of the night, but Michael Oliver rules the effort out for a handball. As Arsenal's defence found themselves at sixes and sevens, Harry Arter lined up a shot from the edge of the box. Heading just wide of the post, the ball struck the arm of a retreating Callum Wilson and flew into the net. It's probably the right decision.
