From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they travel to the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The visitors suffered a chastening 2-0 defeat to Arsenal last time out in the league and an inconsistent run, coupled with Man United’s superb winning streak, has left the Blues only three points clear of Arsenal and United in fourth and clinging nervously to the final Champions League spot.

Fresh from his loan move, Gonzalo Higuain made his debut in Chelsea’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday and manager Maurizio Sarri will be hoping the Argentine can hit the ground running to fire the Blues back into the Champions League next season. Follow it live:
