Arsenal’s pre-season continues with an International Champions Cup clash against French champions Paris Saint-Germain today.

Unai Emery’s team will be hoping to bounce back after a 3-1 penalty shootout defeat by Atletico Madrid earlier this week, after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

PSG will likely pose a similarly tough test, with former Arsenal managerial target Unai Emery in the dugout.

The team news is out!

First Arsenal, who name a strong line-up:

And now PSG:

Mesut Ozil has been handed the captain's armband by Unai Emery for this afternoon's clash.

Arsenal will certainly be expecting to win today given how strong their starting XI looks.

Thomas Tuchel, the Paris Saint-Germain manager, was of course in contention to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, before Unai Emery was handed the job.

Here, he however reveals that he never truly believed he was in the running:

Aubameyang's boots for this afternoon's match: 😍😍😍

An updated version of the beauties OG Ronaldo wore at France '98.

Kick-off is half an hour away, which gives you more than enough time to read up on what happened in Arsenal's last International Champions Cup match:

There's still quite a while to go until kick-off, so for no good reason whatsoever let's RATE and SLATE the pointless trophies completely meaningless pre-season exhibition tournaments hand out to disinterested captains.

5. Emirates Cup (RIP)

Just ... no. Look at the state of it. Asymmetrical, with a bizarre lacquer finish and handles that aren't really handles. Looks a bit like the Goblet of Fire from the Harry Potter films. Bin. 2/10

4. AIA Cup

Come on AIA. If you're going to invite some footballers around for a kickabout in front of exactly five supporters, at least pop out and buy a proper trophy. This is straight from the bargain bin, with a plaque bigger than the actual cup-bit. No wonder Hugo Lloris looks so embarrassed. The sea, get in. 3.5/10

3. International Champions Cup

Oh come on. The bottom of the trophy can't be bigger than the top bit, can it?! This is a strangely delicate little thing, with handles that look like they may snap off in a brisk wind. Dainty but disappointing. Next. 5/10

2. Premier League Asia Trophy

Okay, so the top bit looks a bit like Stewie Griffin's head. Or a budget version of the Vince Lombardi trophy. But the Premier League font and accompanying medals mean that - if you squint a bit - it kind of looks like the actual bona fide Premier League title winners presentation. It's certainly the closest Liverpool have got in a long while: 7.7/10

1. Audi Cup

Now we're cooking with gas. An acceptable size, decent colour, and with enough girth around the base that all of the lads can get involved in the post-trophy presentation party. Kind of looks like a slimmed down UEFA Cup, without all the odd wrinkly bits. 11/10

And now we're almost ready for kick-off!

Time for the pre-match handshakes! PSG looking resplendent in navy and gold tracksuits. Arsenal dressed in all lime green. Grim.
