Where we'd looked at Areola as West Ham's best player, the Frenchman looks to continue in the same vein straight away! Elanga latches on to a floated ball and volleys superbly from the right. It's an expected, yet brilliant stop from Areola who tips over in agile fashion. The resulting corner reaps nothing.

Antonio has come into the fray with his noticeable physical presence. However, with West Ham's dire recent exploits - his lack of composure needs to subside if the visitors have any chance of getting back in to this one. Well, it's been a game that's taken its time to wake up from a Saturday mid-afternoon doze, yet at the break we can reflect on Nottingham Forest leading West Ham by a goal-to-nil. There were half chances galore for a spell, as Anthony Elanga was left frustrated by Alphonse Areola's sharp reflexes early on. Then, after a bleak Jarrod Bowen pea-roller, the half-hour mark saw a crescendo of action as Morgan Gibbs-White forced another fine Areola stop before Antonio at the other end couldn't stay composed. Areola was close to West Ham's best player, but would've been frustrated to concede on the brink of the break. Taiwo Awoniyi was slotted in by Nicolas Dominguez and was brilliant to get his sixth goal of the term.
