Follow live coverage as Nottingham Forest face Tottenham Hotspur today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

Nottingham Forest move up to third in the Premier League table after a narrow 1-0 victory over Tottenham at the City Ground. The only goal of the game came in the first half when Elanga slotted past Forster after a fine run and pass from Gibbs-White to set him up. Gibbs-White had a good chance to make it two-nil in the second half but Forster stood tall to deny him. Sels was required for the hosts in the match to deny Johnson on multiple occasions and Son came close with a free-kick on the stroke of half-time. The clean sheet was Forest's seventh of the season, more than any other side, and four Premier League wins in a row for the first time since 1995. Spurs remain in 11th in the Premier League table and will lose Spence to suspension following his late sending off for two yellow cards. Forest had an xG of 1.21 compared to an xG of 1.28 for Spurs. Forest travel to Everton next whilst Spurs host Wolves in their next Premier League fixture. That is all from me. Thanks for joining me and goodbye.
