Burn was badly exposed by Elanga in the reverse fixture and similarly suffered against Luton's Chiedozie Ogbene last week. However, the way Newcastle have set up, with Trippier joining Miley in the middle to create a back three, requires Burn to start ahead of Livramento.

It is one-way traffic right now, but Forest will be keen to reflect on how they turned the reverse fixture on its head. Newcastle led at St James' Park but lost 3-1.

Trippier now has 10 assists in the Premier League this season, tied for the most in the division. The last Newcastle player to reach double-figures in a top-flight campaign was Laurent Robert in 2001-02.

Newcastle are straight back on the attack, and there are muted appeals for a penalty. Gordon fires a pass towards Wilson, whose loose first touch bounces between Forest players. Longstaff gets there and goes down under a challenge, but referee Anthony Taylor is unimpressed.

Sels comes for a Trippier corner and just about gets there, palming the ball behind for another one. That was one area in which Sels really struggled while at Newcastle, albeit way back in the 2016-17 season.

Save by Sels! Longstaff carries the ball from the halfway line towards the Forest box. When he still is not greeted with a challenge, the Newcastle man drives in a low shot that bounces in front of Sels and forces the goalkeeper into a smart stop.
