Your support makes all the difference.Just seconds from the end, Darwin Nunez produced one of those uproarious moments that you might usually say was a sign of where the title is going. The evidence of this season, however, suggests it’s going to need many more of them.
Perhaps the greatest significance of this 99th-minute 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest, beyond the vintage late header of such a classic run-in victory, was that Jurgen Klopp’s side kept persevering despite so many absences. They have kept this form going, and still have a number of stars to come back.
The return of a player who is definitely ascending to that kind of level for supporters was the crucial difference here.

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool
Klopp didn't look too happy on the sidelines, and given that his side have struggled at times in the final third, it's no surprise. All season, Liverpool have improved in the second half, and their manager will be urging them for more here as well. Forest may not have created much, but they had the best chance of the game. They're always a threat on the counter, but they need to take those chances when they come.
Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool
It's goalless at the break between Forest and Liverpool. The Reds dominated in the first half and got into some good positions, but despite all of that, they never managed a shot on target. Diaz saw two great chances blocked, while Clark whipped a shot just over the bar, but otherwise, it's been a fairly quiet game for Sels. At the other end, former Liverpool man, Origi, fired an effort wide of the near post 15 minutes in before Kelleher made a huge save with his foot to deny Elanga after a quick break.

Origi wriggles out of a tight spot on the left and manages to poke it through to Dominguez on the left of the box. He can't get hold of his shot properly, and his tame effort rolls wide of the far post.

Toffolo manages to cut out Bradley's attack this time, and his first thought is to play it down the line for Elanga. He's tracked all the way by Mac Allister though, and can only win a throw-in.

Bradley floats a lovely ball over the top for Gakpo to latch onto, and instead of going for goal, he tries to cushion it back to Elliott on the edge of the box. He can't get close to it though, and Omobamidele comfortably clears.

Liverpool are still dominating possession here, with 73 per cent of the ball so far. They're slowing things down at the moment though and knocking it around in their own half.
