Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town
Nottingham Forest get back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Ipswich at the City Ground, thanks to Chris Wood’s ninth goal of the season, coming from the penalty spot. Both teams had plenty of opportunities in front of goal before the break, but it ended goalless, however, it took Forest just four minutes from the restart to find the opener. Jota was fouled by Szmodics in the box and Wood smashed home from the spot to become Forest’s joint-top Premier League goalscorer of all time. Ipswich pushed for an equaliser, but couldn’t find a way through the resilient Forest defence and the home side held on for all three points. This win moves Forest up to sixth in the table and they’ll travel to Manchester City next time out. Meanwhile Ipswich remain in the relegation zone, sitting 18th and will face Crystal Palace next weekend. That’s all from us today, we hope you enjoyed the game!
