Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa
A wonder goal from Young helped earn Aston Villa a point at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest climb off the bottom of the Premier League table. Taking the lead for the third successive home match, losing the previous two 3-2, incoming striker Dennis latched onto a free-kick from Gibbs-White to give Cooper’s side the lead. However, their advantage in the match lasted just seven minutes, with Young smashing one in from just outside the box. Yates could only find the Villa man with a clearance, with the 37-year-old taking one touch before drilling a low shot past Henderson into the bottom corner. Watkins then thought he turned the scoreline in favour of the visitors, sliding in a low cross from Ramsey, but the flag went up for offside. The striker, who struggled to get involved throughout the 90 minutes, then had a low header saved by Henderson in the second half, with McGinn also missing the target with a diving attempt. Kouyate had the best second half attempt for Forest, but his powerful effort was held well by Martinez who sprung across his goal.
