Follow live coverage as Manchester United face Leicester City in the Premier League today.

Manchester City are reigning champions after a dominant 2020/21 season and Pep Guardiola's side are favourites to win it again boasting as they do one of the best squads in Europe.

European champions Chelsea have proven they have what it takes to dethrone City, however, having done it in last season's Champions League final and will be hoping to add a domestic title to the one won in Porto.

Liverpool were winners back in 2020 ending a 30-year wait for league glory and Jurgen Klopp is sure to have them back challenging again at the sharp end this season too while Manchester United will be looking to be back in the title picture with Cristiano Ronaldo returning to his former club in the summer.

It's not all about the action at the top though with Norwich, Watford and Brentford promoted to the top tier for 2020/21 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.

Maddison's low cross is cut out by Fred and he plays a one-two with Matic to get away from Dewsbury-Hall. He tries to set United on a quick counter when he gets the ball back, but the referee gets in the way and Leicester are able to get back into position.

Telles' cross is headed towards goal by Fernandes, but he's a long way out and can't get any power behind it. Leicester go straight up the other end and the space opens up for Tielemans, but his long-range effort is straight at De Gea.

NO GOAL! As he was trying to bundle his way through, Iheanacho kicked Varane's leg out from under him which is what caused the defender to go down. After looking at the replays, the referee awards a foul, and the goal won't stand. Still 1-1!

MADDISON SCORES! Leicester lead again! Varane lost his balance as he attempted to dispossess Iheanacho, which left a gap in behind. He bundled his way through it before teeing up Maddison and he squeezes his shot in at the near post, catching out De Gea. VAR is having a look at this though...

Leicester are on the attack now, with Iheanacho pushing his way through the middle before playing a one-two with Barnes. Fred quickly closes him down when he gets it back though, blocking his way into the box.

It's an incredible run by Fernandes, who drives down the left before skipping over the challenges from Dewsbury-Hall and Fofana at the byline, keeping the ball in play. The final pass lets him down though, as he gifts it straight to Tielemans.

Telles has his pocket picked by Maddison and he darts past the left-back before putting a low cross into the near post. Iheanacho has peeled away on the far side though, so Maguire steps in to clear the danger.

GREAT SAVE! Maddison puts yet another good cross into the box from a free-kick and Fofana rises high above Pogba to get his head to it. He flicks it on and De Gea stretches to get fingertips to it to tip it wide of the far post.

GREAT CHANCE! Sancho plays the ball back to De Gea, but there's not enough on it and Iheanacho reacts quickest on the edge of the box. De Gea rushes out to close down the angle, and the forward's chip ends up bouncing wide of the far post.
