Crystal Palace are without Wilfried Zaha for the trip to City. Nathaniel Clyne came into Patrick Vieira’s starting line-up in place of Zaha, who did not make the matchday squad, in the only change to the side that beat Aston Villa 3-1 last weekend.
Riyad Mahrez came into the City side as Ilkay Gundogan dropped to the bench. Ruben Dias replaced the injured Nathan Ake in defence in the only other change to the starting line-up from last weekend’s 3-3 draw at Newcastle.

Manchester City have dominated possession but have struggled to find the final pass to give their attackers a good opportunity to score. They have put in 12 crosses from open play but have only come close to scoring from one of them. Eze is Crystal Palace's main source of quality as his ball retention and passing have given his teammates inspiration.

Crystal Palace took the lead from a free kick which was given away by Cancelo due to a mistake from Ederson after he couldn't hold possession of the ball. Eze's cross hit Walker and deflected onto Stones, who turned it past Ederson. Eze's corner in the 22nd minute then found a wide-open Andersen, and the defender made no mistake and double his side's lead. Crystal Palace have hit the target from both of their shots whereas ManChester City have not tested Guaita in any of their seven attempts.

De Bruyne tries to start a counterattack and put Mahrez in behind but his pas is intercepted comfortably. Eze then tries to dribble forward but gets tackled abruptly.
