Manchester United ended Arsenal’s winning start to the Premier League season in a thrilling clash that saw Antony score on his debut and Marcus Rashford hit a quick-fire double after Bukayo Saka had equalised in the second half.
After a bright start by both teams, Arsenal thought they had struck first as Gabriel Martinelli finished a devastating counter-attack but the goal was ruled out by VAR for an earlier foul on Christian Eriksen.
From there Arsenal took control but the Gunners were torn apart by United on the break, as Rashford set up Antony to steer a first-time finish past Aaron Ramsdale for a debut goal following his €100m move from Ajax.
Arsenal responded after the break with chances through Martin Odegaard and Saka, before the England international fired a deserved equaliser on the hour-mark. It seemed as if Arsenal had the momentum, but they were hit with a counter-punch as Rashford raced away to restore their lead.
It was the latest swing in a thrilling match and with Arsenal pushing forward with more numbers, Rashford scored his second to seal United’s fourth straight win and end Arsenal’s unbeaten start.

Martinelli is then found at the other end and suffers a similar mix up to Rashford as United clear.
End to end stuff. Superb intensity.

39 mins: It was a really good advantage played by Paul Tierney in the build-up to that goal. Fernandes was taken out by Gabriel but the referee let the move carry on as the ball found Sancho. And the rest is history.
Meanwhile, Arsenal regain the ball after going behind and Saka shoots from the edge of the box. It takes two deflections but ends up in the arms of De Gea.

It’s a brilliant goal from Manchester United who have been under the cosh for the best part of 20 minutes.
Eriksen slides a wonderful pass into Fernandes who nicks it beyond Gabriel and finds Sancho. He feeds it onto Antony who is in acres of space on the right side of the penalty area and the former Ajax man sweeps it into the corner.
Lovely goal. Totally against the run of play.

33 mins: SENSATIONAL SAVE! Arsenal probe the United penalty area for a while before Odegaard clips a delicious cross to the back post for Martinelli. The Brazilian heads back across De Gea but the Spaniard is equal to it and parries away acrobatically to deny Arsenal the opening goal.
Arsenal toying with United at the moment. Some superb football being played by the visitors. They just need the goal as a reward for their efforts.
