Luton Town vs Newcastle United
The Hatters... have done it!!! A momentous victory for Luton Town and arguably their biggest since returning to the top-flight, that first-half header from Townsend proved crucial as the hosts kept Newcastle at bay to seal three vital, vital points. In truth though, Luton looked the more likely of the two sides to find the game's second goal, striking the crossbar twice through Barkley and Brown, and Mengi, Giles and Barkley again all struck decent efforts wide. Newcastle did have the ball in the back of the net following Isak's cool finish, but the Swede was denied by a marginal offside call as Newcastle's frustrations mounted. Guimaraes, Gordon, Botman and Longstaff all had chances to get Newcastle back on level terms, but only Guimaraes could force Kaminski action. A first win in four, and only their third of the season, doesn't lift Luton out of the bottom three but does close the gap to two, while Newcastle lose a fourth away game in a row to remain seventh, five points behind Manchester City in fifth.
Luton Town vs Newcastle United
Little over 90 seconds for Luton to hold out here, and while it's been a backs-to-the-wall job at times, their own play in the final third has been more than deserving of three points. From back to front, they have been magnificent.

Shooting space opens up foir Barkley as he collects Ogbene's inside pass, but his attempt on goal skews wildly over the top and behind.

Successive headers in the box from Wilson and Guimaraes test the Luton defence, but the latter's effort on goal has next to no power behind it and Kaminski can easily gather the loose ball.

We're into SEVEN additional minutes at Kenilworth Road, and is that enough for the hosts to hold out for a victory that would have this place rocking to the foundations!
Luton Town vs Newcastle United
Wilson is played in behind the defence and tries a cross from the byline, but Andersen slides across in cover, sending the ball ricocheting back off the Newcastle striker and behind for a goal-kick!
Luton Town vs Newcastle United
Livramento's cross from the right is met by Mengi in his own box, who nods a looping header back towards his own goal for Kaminski to catch and collect.
