Striker Darwin Nunez was fit after a shoulder injury and replaced Cody Gakpo in the forward line, Kostas Tsimikas came in for left-back Andy Robertson and the whole midfield was changed from Saturday’s draw at Crystal Palace with Fabinho, Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Elliott all starting.
Wolves forward Matheus Cunha missed out with an ankle problem so Joao Moutinho returned as the one change from the draw with Fulham last time out.
Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate made his first appearance in a month after being put straight into the team to face Wolves after recovering from a hamstring injury as manager Jurgen Klopp made six changes.

Bereft of much momentum for either side following a promising start, the game remains goalless at the break - despite Elliott's efforts towards the end of the half. While Liverpool have had the best chances, goalmouth action has been infrequent so far, as caution prevails in the latest meeting of two teams very familiar with each other's style of play. A subdued Anfield crowd will hope for more to shout about after the interval, but Wolves are still on track to pick up another valuable point.
