AC Milan vs Liverpool LIVE Champions League result, final score and reaction tonight
Liverpool beat AC Milan in the final Champions League Group B game at the San Siro on Tuesday night
Liverpool came from behind to knock AC Milan out of Europe with a 2-1 victory at San Siro on Tuesday, as goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi helped a second-string Reds side finish the Champions League group stage with a perfect record.
Milan needed to win to stand any chance of progressing to the last 16 and went in front through England defender Fikayo Tomori in the first half, to the delight of the home support.
But Salah soon equalised with his 20th goal of the season in all competitions and Origi, who came on to score a stoppage-time winner against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday, headed home Liverpool’s second after the break.
Juergen Klopp’s side became the first English team to win every Champions League group game in a single campaign, finishing top of Group B with 18 points.
RB Leipzig 1 - 0 Man City
Four of Dominik Szoboszlai’s five goals in the Champions League have been scored in home games, while he’s also the top scoring Hungarian player in the competition’s history (5).

Coming up...
Following the conclusion of this Group A fixture in which Manchester City now have to come from behind, Liverpool are travelling to AC Milan.
The Reds have already won the group but could become the first English team to win every single group stage match if they defeat Milan tonight.
Half-time: RB Leipzig 1 - 0 Man City
45 mins: No added time played in Germany and Man City head into the break a goal behind. They responded okay and had the better of the closing stages but Pep Guardiola won’t exactly be thrilled with his team’s performance in that half. I expect they’ll come back out with a bit more urgency.
RB Leipzig 1 - 0 Man City
44 mins: Save! Mahrez is dragged down by Gvardiol and Man City win a free kick about 25-yards out just inside the left-hand post. De Bruyne and Mahrez are both over the deadball but it’s De Bruyne who boots one at goal. There’s a little swerve on the shot but it’s at a comfortable height for Gulacsi who leaps to his right and palms the ball away.
RB Leipzig 1 - 0 Man City
42 mins: Is that a save too?! Phil Foden’s just hit the post for Manchester City after Kevin De Bruyne threads him in behind on the inside left channel. He carries the ball into the box and hits a left-footed shot across goal. Peter Gulacsi leaps to his left and gets the tiniest of fingertip touches to the ball and pushes it just far enough so that it whacks into the far post and bounces away!
RB Leipzig 1 - 0 Man City
39 mins: What a save! Nordi Mukiele drives the ball into the City penalty area and dinks the ball out to Nkunku on the right side. Nkunku flicks a pass over to the back post where Szoboszlai wins a header and knocks it into the six-yard box for Andre Silva. He whips his own header towards goal but Steffen blocks it at pinpoint range!
RB Leipzig 1 - 0 Man City
36 mins: Chance! It’s a carbon copy set piece. De Bruyne swinging a corner in from the left side, Ake drifting into space and winning the header. This time he gets a good chunk of the ball but fires it high over the crossbar.
