From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Andre Gray's late strike sent Watford through to the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

The game looked to be heading to extra time after Michy Batshuayi cancelled out Etienne Capoue's first-half opener.

But Gray struck in the 79th minute, converting Roberto Pereyra's cross from close range to earn a Wembley date for his side.

It's been a disappointing day fro Manchester United. They've not been at their best, they've been sloppy and haven't created much. Wolves have got their plans spot on and have a deserving lead.

90+6 mins: Wolves 2 - 1 Man Utd

It's been a great performance from Wolves. They've kept Man Utd quiet, hit them on the counter attack and scored two goals. A deserved semi-final at Wembley awaits and it's back-to-back defeats for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men.
