We'll get to the numerous stories surrounding Manchester United shortly, but where else to start than with what could be the signing of the summer.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has reportedly given the club the green light to make a statement signing this summer in the shape of Diego Costa, who wants out of Atletico Madrid after his latest falling out with Diego Simeone.
The Brazil-born Spain international certainly comes with his share of baggage - as we all saw at Chelsea - but the prospect of having such a controversial yet lethal striker back in the Premier League would be relished by fans of all clubs - at least for the entertainment alone.
The Mail on Sunday reports that Everton will make an official bid to Atletico in the coming days.
Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of England defender Harry Maguire, with reports emerging that rivals Manchester City are no longer interested in his services.
United saw a £70m offer for the 26-year-old centre-back rejected by Leicester City last week, with the Foxes looking for around £90m to let him leave this summer.
City were expected to launch a move for Maguire, but The Sun reports that they are no longer interested after seeing his asking price inflate due to United's interest, leaving the red side of Manchester in a one-horse race to try and secure his signature.
Jose Mourinho has decided against taking up a huge offer to become the highest-paid manager in world football.
The former Manchester United boss was understood to be mulling over an offer from Guangzhou Evergrande - owned by China's richest man Hui Jiayin - worth an incredible £88m.
But The Guardian reports that Mourinho has elected against a move to the Chinese Super League and rejected to offer, with the Portuguese remaining out of management since being sacked by United in December.
Arsenal's interest in Wilfried Zaha may be over.
The Gunners are still well short of Crystal Palace's valuation and it seems that their pursuit of the former Manchester United winger is heading for a dead end.
Arsenal saw a £40m offer laughed out of Selhurst Park, with Palace valuing Zaha at more than double that figure, and even though Arsenal are not yet giving up hope of landing him this summer, alternative options are being sought.
The Sunday Mirror claims that one of Arsenal's part targets, Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, is top of that list, and at around £25m would represent a much more realistic option given their limited transfer funds.
The Scotland international has just one year remaining on his contract, though Bournemouth still hope to tie him down to a new contract.
Tottenham have freshened up their squad already this summer with the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele, but it appears player exits may come to define the rest of their summer.
According to the Mail on Sunday, Danny Rose is set to headline a long list of departures that could see as many as eight members of Mauricio Pochettino's squad leave.
On top of the England international, Spurs are actively looking at selling Kieran Trippier, Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen, while youngsters Cameron Carter-Vickers, Josh Onomah and Marcus Edwards could be allowed to leave either temporarily or on a permanent basis.
With Manchester United no longer interested in Rose, it remains to be seen where the left-back ends up this summer, but Spurs do hope that buy selling these players and reinvesting the money they can keep hold of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff is said to be "bitterly disappointed" by Rafa Benitez's departure from St James' Park, which could lead him into deciding his future lies away from the club.
Longstaff is wanted by United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he fits the profile of the young and promising players he wants to fill his squad, and the Sunday Mirror reports that Benitez's exit is playing a major factor in whether the England Under-21 star asks for a transfer this summer or not.
One Manchester United target who has faded from the radar somewhat is Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but it is a move that may be about to resurface.
Reports in Italy claim that the 24-year-old's agent has travelled to London this weekend to meed with United representatives regarding a potential transfer this summer.
Sport Mediaset claim that even though a move may not happen this transfer window, the talks could look to structure a move to Old Trafford further down the line.
BREAKING: Manchester United have named Paul Pogba in their squad for the pre-season summer tour of Australia and Asia, but that is by no means an indication of his future.
With agent Mino Raiola trying to spring Pogba from Old Trafford, the prospect of Pogba refusing to turn up for training remains a very real risk.
