There are a number of top players primed for a move and ready to contribute immediately, but as Manchester United have proven with the signing of Amad Diallo, the best young talents in the world are always on the radar of the top clubs, including Palmeiras wonder kid Gabriel Veron. One of the priorities in the final week of the window will be to shed any dead weight, to streamline the squad and ensure the atmosphere in the group remains as good as possible.
Today’s rumour mill involves Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United and Southampton in particular, while Danny Ings, who has transformed his career at Southampton, and Nico Barella, Inter Milan’s midfield phenomenon, are the most valuable names doing the rounds over the last 24 hours.
Dele Alli remains out of favour at Spurs under Jose Mourinho and Paris Saint-Germain could offer him a lifeline this month under former boss Mauricio Pochettino, having fallen out of form and therefore out of the picture for England ahead of Euro 2020. PSG of course must be conscious of securing the long-term futures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, with Real Madrid lurking after the Frenchman resisted signing a new contract.

PSG MIDFIELDER ADMITS HE WANTS CLUB TO SIGN MESSI
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes has backed the club's owners to agree a deal with Lionel Messi this summer.
The Barcelona legend is out of contract at the end of the season and PSG are one of the few clubs in world football capable of affording his inevitably astronomical wage demands.
"It's natural that everyone wants Messi on their team, but it's the role of [sporting director] Leonardo and the president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] to make the decision to convince him to join us," Paredes said, quoted by Goal.
"It's also a decision for Leo Messi. He'll choose the best for him but of course it would be great to have a player like him."
ALLI ASKS FOR PSG MOVE
Dele Alli has informed Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy of his desire to join Paris Saint-Germain, claim 90min.
Negotiations have reportedly been delayed because of PSG's intention to include an option to buy in the loan deal.
Levy is reluctant to see Alli leave permanently, but the French club want to secure the 24-year-old for the long-term.
REAL SOCIEDAD MOST LIKELY DESTINATION FOR ARSENAL TARGET
Martin Odegaard is more likely to join Real Sociedad on loan than move to Arsenal this month, according to Eurosport.
The Real Madrid midfielder has been linked with a switch to the Emirates, but he could return to Real Sociedad having spent last season with the Spanish club.

WIJNALDUM ‘PUTS PRESSURE’ ON LIVERPOOL AMID BARCELONA SPECULATION
Gini Wijnaldum has "put pressure" on Liverpool to make public his intention to join Barcelona, according to the Mirror.
The Netherlands international reportedly wants to join up with compatriot Ronald Koeman at the Camp Nou when his contract expires this summer.
"There is no update yet," Wijnaldum said in a recent interview with Sky Sports.
"I also think I am not the one who should give the update, the club should. If there will be an update the club will give it."
LINGARD SET FOR UNITED STAY
Jesse Lingard is set to spend the remainder of the season at Manchester United despite attracting interest from Premier League clubs, according to Sky Sports.
Sheffield United were one of the clubs who reportedly held an interest in signing Lingard on loan, however, despite being a bit-part feature under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club do not want to leave themselves short during such a congested run of fixtures in case of injuries.
NUNO CONFIRMS WOLVES ON VERGE OF SIGNING JOSE
As The Independent reported yesterday, Willian Jose is on the verge of signing for Wolves on loan with an option to buy. The striker scored twice for Real Sociedad last night in what is set to be his final game for the club.
Asked about the signing at his press conference today, Nuno Espirito Santo said: “It is as you say but nothing has been signed yet, and he is not our player yet, so I don’t want to talk about him yet, until he is a Wolves player."
HARPER JOINS BIRMINGHAM ON LOAN
West Brom midfielder Rekeem Harper has joined Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season. The 20-year-old, who has been restricted to just four appearances this season, will hope to boost Aitor Karanka’s side’s bid for survival.
