From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Tottenham enjoyed a comfortable afternoon at the office as Lucas Moura netted a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Huddersfield.

Victor Wanyama opened the scoring before the Brazilian took over scoring three times to move Spurs into third place in the race for the Champions League places.

Here's how it all played out at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium:

81 minutes

And off the woodwork at the other end!

Christian Eriksen is the man free as Spurs pour forward on the break, his shot well-blocked by Chris Löwe against the post and Elias Kachunga heroically getting back to prevent Eriksen sweeping home the rebound.

Huddersfield think they might have a chance of getting back in this.

Aaron Mooy is on for Jon Stankovic.

Another key Spurs man will get a little rest.

Jan Vertonghen strides off. Not his busiest afternoon.

Danny Rose to left wing-back, Ben Davies moving slightly more centrally.

Mauricio Pochettino will exercise his final change.

Heung-Min Son will get five minutes or so. Fernando Llorente is replaced.

GOAL! Tottenham 3-0 Huddersfield (Lucas Moura, 87 minutes)

That'll seal it!

Two for Moura, three for Spurs, and it'll be three points, too.

Christian Eriksen's ball across is a clever one, clipped into the Brazilian's path, who controls well, calms himself and volleys down into the floor, sending the ball bouncing up into the net past Ben Hamer.

And he celebrates in some style with a handspring backflip!

Three added minutes.

GOAL! Tottenham 4-0 Huddersfield (Lucas Moura, 90 + 2 minutes)

A brilliant way to complete an excellent hat-trick!

Heung-Min Son charges at the Huddersfield defence, threads a pass through for Moura to run on to and he produces a fierce finish across Ben Hamer into the top corner...

Full-Time: Tottenham 4-0 Huddersfield

Harry Latham-Coyle13 April 2019 14:21

Four for Spurs, three for Lucas Moura and Spurs go third.

Huddersfield showed character in the second half but it was a mismatch on paper and pitch for most of the game.

Moura grabs the match ball. The first hat-trick at the new stadium, and Tottenham's unblemished defensive record in their new home continues.

And he celebrates with a child who I presume is his son, clearly emotional.

A lovely moment at the end of a convincing Spurs win.

And his son is dribbling with the match ball, every touch roared by the crowd!

And he picks it up! Work to do, yet, Mr and Mrs Moura.
