Liverpool beat Wolverhampton Wanderers but failed to win the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp's side had already pulled off one miraculous comeback this week but couldn't do it again after City won at Brighton. The Reds did their part however with Sadio Mane tapping home the opener after just 17 minutes before the Senegalese added a second 10 minutes from time.
Here's how it played out:

Alexander-Arnold whips a ball into the box from the right hand side. Mane and Salah beat the centre-backs into the area, the ball goes over Salah but Mane meets it and finds the back of the net.
Mane joins Salah and Aubameyang on 22 goals for the season and a lead for the Golden Boot.

2 minutes added time on the last day of the season. The title is gone and Liverpool will finished second with the highest points tally of anyone not to win the league (97)
90+2 mins: Liverpool 2 - 0 Wolves
That's it. Liverpool win the battle but not the war.
The force just wasn't with them today as Man City came from behind and destroyed Brighton 4-1 to win the Premier League.
Still it's been a fantastic title race and to come so close will be hard for Liverpool to take.
This season Liverpool have lost just one match.
Alisson has kept the most clean sheets (21)
Salah and Mane are tied golden boot winners with 22 goals.
And they've finished second with 97 points.
What a Premier League season it's been. The race for the title came down to the very last day as Man City and Liverpool went toe-to-toe.
Looking back Liverpool will probably look to the two draws with Man Utd and Everton but in the head-to-heads, Man City took four out of a possible six points off Liverpool.
