Follow the latest updates live from the Premier League clash between Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion as Carlo Ancelotti’s side look to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
Everton have been one of the form teams in the country so far, winning all six of their matches in all competitions and making it three from three last weekend, in which Dominic Calvert-Lewin continued his goalscoring run before netting a hat-trick in the midweek Carabao Cup victory over West Ham.
Ancelotti does have a number of injury concerns on his hands though, including summer signing Allan, and Brighton will fancy their chances of an upset after resting the bulk of their squad during the week. Follow the live updates below.
72 mins: Allan Saint-Maximin limps off the pitch and is replaced with Ryan Fraser for the final 20 minutes or so.
Burnley will be happier, Saint-Maximin has been the best player on the park tonight.
69 mins: Dale Stephens goes off for Burnley with Johann Berg Gudmundsson coming on. McNeil tries his luck trying to stop Saint-Maximin, he does but is shown a yellow card for his effort.
Newcastle 2 - 1 Burnley - Wilson
65 mins: GOAL! Allan Saint-Maximin to the rescue again. He collects the ball out on the left and runs past two defenders on his way into the box. Wilson makes a run to the far post and Saint-Maximin puts it on a plate for him. Easy tap in, Wilson’s first goal at St. James’ Park for Newcastle, the Magpies back in front.
Newcastle 1 - 1 Burnley - Westwood
61 mins: GOAL! Burnley deserve that after their response in this half. Bardsley picks up the ball out on the right. His cross is headed to the left side of the box and Westwood strikes one. the shot squeezes through a cluster of bodies and leaves Darlow before nestling into the back of the net.
56 mins: Javi Manquillo comes on to replace Fabian Schar for Newcastle. Schar doesn’t look like he got over the knock he took in the first half.
53 mins: Barnes does well over on the far right side, he twists and gets a cross into the box. Wood wins the header and forces Darlow into a solid save.
49 mins: Burnley have never won a Premier League game when losing at half time. They’ve drawn seven and lost 43.
Lewis is shown a yellow card for an elbow to the face of Barnes, I think.
Second half: Burnley get the match back underway and send it into the box where Darlow plucks it out of the air.
