The Clarets have failed to win any of the last three after picking up successive wins prior to that, leaving them in 17th place in the Premier League table - though their situation is not as dire as it might be in that position in previous seasons, given the eight-point gap down to Fulham inside the bottom three.
Palace also won back-to-back games recently, but suffered a 2-0 reversal in their last league outing against Leeds to leave them in 13th place in the table.
Roy Hodgson’s men have looked decent at times, attack-minded and fast-flowing with some of their football compared to previous seasons, though consistency has been a real issue and their defensive record hasn’t been exemplary.
Burnley’s real issue is at the other end of the pitch, with a paltry haul of just 14 goals for the campaign being the lowest in the entire league.

Liverpool have won just one of their last seven Premier League games when goalless at half time with three draws and three defeats. They’ve lost each of their last two since a 3-1 victory against West Ham last month.

45 mins: Good save! Alisson keeps Liverpool on terms as Vardy gets in behind once again following a through ball. He brings the ball into the left side of the box and tries to slot the ball around Alisson but the Liverpool goalkeeper makes himself big and stops the shot.

44 mins: Yellow card for Jonny Evans as he brings Sadio Mane down just outside of the penalty area. Salah, Henderson and Alexander-Arnold are all over the dead ball. It’s Alexander-Arnold who takes it but he fires his shot right into the Leicester wall.

42 mins: OFF THE BAR! Amartey fires the ball up the pitch and Maddison flicks it on. Vardy runs through the lines and collects the ball, carrying it into the box before drilling a shot at goal. He strikes it well and rattles the crossbar! What a chance for Leicester.

39 mins: Andy Robertson wins another corner for the Reds after he drove into the box from the left and had a shot deflected behind by Amartey. Robertson himself takes the corner but Soyuncu is up early this time and heads the ball clear.

36 mins: Big chance! This time it comes for Jamie Vardy. Leicester work the ball out to Barnes on the left wing and he gets himself into space on the wing which so far hasn’t been available. Barnes swings a cross into the middle. Vardy runs in between Henderson and Robertson, jumps and wins the header. He knocks it down into the ground allowing Alisson the time to dive across and smother the shot.

30 mins: That was a glorious move and a glorious save from Schmeichel but Henderson was offside in the build so tha goall wouldn’t have counted anyway. Leicester win their first corner of the game and Maddison slots it into the box. Wilfred Ndidi jumps and wins the header but he sends it wide of the near post.

27 mins: What a save! Liverpool play a short corner and give the ball to Thiago. He flicks the ball over the top and finds Mane to heads it on to Henderson over on the left side of the box. Henderson takes a moment and chips the ball to Firmino who meets it on the volley and turns the ball towards goal. Schmeichel sticks out his right arm and lets the ball strike his hand denying Liverpool the opener.
