Chelsea's wait for a first victory under Frank Lampard continues after the Blues were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester City.

The home side made a flying start to the match as Lampard's faith in young midfielder Mason Mount was rewarded in an early goal - his first for the club - as he pounced on an unaware Wilfried Ndidi to snatch possession and tuck the ball past Kasper Schmeichel.

But Leicester steadied the ship after the dominant first half for Chelsea, and midway through the second half Ndidi made amends by heading home James Maddison's corner. Leicester had late chances to snatch the victory, but were unable to find the goal to claim all three points.

The result gives Lampard his first point as Chelsea manager, but leaves them winless in their first three games. Re-live the action below.

What time does it start?

Chelsea vs Leicester City kicks off at 4pm at Stamford Bridge.

Where can I watch it?

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

36 mins: Vardy looks sharp today but he's just not getting enough balls fed to him. Zouma's doing okay marking him.

Perez is brought down by Jorginho stepping on his foot. The Chelsea man is booked and Leicester have a free kick.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

39 mins: Maddison puts an inviting ball into the box from the right, Chelsea's high line mean the players are scrambling into the six-yard box to try and get on the end of the cross. No-one gets there and Kepa watches the ball drift behind for a goal kick.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

42 mins: Kante threatens to break for Chelsea but Soyuncu puts his foot through the ball and smashes it deep into the stands. No nonsense defending from Harry Maguire's replacement. Leicester then work the ball up to Vardy after winning it back but Vardy is offside.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

45 mins: Ricardo whips a cross into Chelsea's box looking for Vardy. Christensen gets there first though and heads it clear. This has been a decent period for Leicester. They've stopped Chelsea storming forward at any rate.

One minute added time.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

45+1 mins: Chelsea have a corner, it's whipped in headed out to Jorginho who smashes it over the bar.

That's half-time. Chelsea's rapid start was too much for Leicester to deal with and the Blues have the lead.

Chelsea have the lead at half-time against Leicester in their first match at Stamford Bridge under Frank Lampard.

Also happening right now in London, England are searching for a win against Australia in the second Ashes test at Lord's. Jofra Archer is bowling seriously quickly.

Their two sides are going head-to-head but Brendan Rodgers is backing Frank Lampard to excel at Chelsea:

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

Second half: We're back underway, Choudhury gets forward down the left wing but gives away a throw in. A long ball forward from Leicester almost falls for Maddison but he's off balance and doesn't get a shot off.

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

48 mins: Maddison gets the ball in front of the Chelsea defensive line, he plays it through to Vardy who makes a run into the box, Vardy shoots and makes Kepa dive to his left to save it. Vardy was offside though.

Michael Jones18 August 2019 17:35

Chelsea 1 - 0 Leicester

51 mins: What a run from Maddison, Chelsea are exposed at the back, he runs through the two centre-backs, wants to give it to Vardy but realises that Vardy is offside to goes himself. Kepa commits but Maddison takes the ball away from him and up to the byline, he pulls it back into the middle of the box but there are no Leicester men to make use of the open goal.
