Who has missed out?
Lucas Moura and Divock Origi can feel slightly annoyed at being left on the bench this evening. Both players are responsible for their teams being here, scoring late goals in the semi-finals.
What it does mean, however, is that both sides have quality on the bench to bring on later in the game if things are tight later on. Tottenham can call on Lucas, Erik Lamela or Fernando Llorente, while Liverpool have James Milner, Adam Lallana, Divock Origi, Daniel Sturridge and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to call on.
One-country Champions League finals
"The greater knowledge of the opposition, in such a final, ironically gives them so much more to think about," writes Miguel Delaney as he delves into what one-country Champions League final so unique.
“No player likes it,” Santiago Canizares tells The Independent, the goalkeeper having played for Valencia against Real Madrid in the very first one-country final back in 2000. “You never like it, not in normal knock-outs, but especially not the final. It’s an international competition, and you prefer to play teams from other countries, but then you’re facing a side you know well.”
One-country Champions League finals
2000 Real Madrid 3-0 Valencia
2003 AC Milan 0-0 Juventus (Milan win 3-2 on penalties)

The managers
Mauricio Pochettino on Harry Kane: "I think we believe and we feel that in the last few weeks he was good on the pitch we have given him time to feel that the emotion and determination, yesterday he confirmed that. He is ready to play.
"We have the squad fit and that is important. In the season maybe we didn't not have that situation more. We can play 90 or more minutes and we have players like (Erik) Lamela, Lucas (Moura) and Fernando (Llorente).
Jurgen Klopp on Harry Kane starting: "We expected it, Lucas could have played. The quality is massive that they have up front.
"The only thing is I feel we are ready. This game I don't think we are favourites. It will be an intense game, a tight game."
