The Gunners opened the scoring through Alexandre Lacazette, who headed home after a chipped cross from fellow forward and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, before Michail Antonio stabbed home an equaliser on the cusp of half-time.
Arsenal substitute Eddie Nketiah sealed the win for the hosts, however, striking with five minutes remaining to break West Ham hearts. Re-live all the updates here:

Now back to tonight, Arsenal’s match winner, Eddie Nketiah, has given his reaction to Sky Sports. He spoke about scoring just after coming on and burying the hatchet with teammate Dani Ceballos who set him up to score. This is what he said:

Mikel Arteta is absolutely delighted, he knows his team were second best tonight in terms of performance but they dug deep and Eddie Nketiah rescued them in the closing minutes of the second half.

There goes the whistle and Arsenal have held on! They’ve got two wins from their opening two games, they haven’t been anywhere near their best tonight but they’ve done just enough to secure the points.
