From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Follow the latest updates live as Arsenal take on Crystal Palace looking to strengthen their place in the Premier League top four.

Arsenal head into the match off the back of their progression to the Europa League semi-finals and a first Premier League away win in two months following last Monday’s win over Watford. With Tottenham losing on Saturday and Manchester United trailing at Everton, Arsenal can seize the advantage in the race for Champions League football.

But Crystal Palace will be no pushovers in this London derby, with Roy Hodgson’s side still needing to mathematically secure their place in the Premier League, and with the Eagles still a point away from the 40-point mark they cannot be taken lightly by Unai Emery’s side. Follow the live updates below.

What time does it start?

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace kicks off at 4pm on Sunday 21 April.

38 min: Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

Ooooh Palace get away with one there! Kolasinac whips in a ball and Wan Bissaka appears to obstruct the ball with his hands.

Lucky for the right-back there.

WHAT A SAVE!

Camarasa scuffs his shot after Liverpool clear a corner, but it falls to Niasse who on the turn forces a great save from Alisson.

Crucial.

Anything Alisson can do, Leno can do better.

Kouyate should do better, but he is denied by a terrific double save at the near post from the German.

HT: Cardiff 0-0 Liverpool

So far, so good for Cardiff (and Manchester City) at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The visitors have had their chances through Mane and Firmino, the latter who will be extremely disaappointed not to beat Etheridge when through one-on-one.

It did take a bobble in front of the Brazilian, but Klopp will rue that chance, as he will Salah's effort which the Cardiff keeper also saved.

Crucial second half for Liverpool, who also have Alisson to thank for keeping it goalless after his save from Niasse.

Liverpool have dominated possession, but they have nothing to show for it so far.

Half Time: Arsenal 0-1 Crystal Palace

Boos ring out at the Emirates as the hosts go in behind here thanks to Christian Benteke's first-half header.

It has been a poor half from the Gunners, particularly defensively, and that was demonstrated as they left the Belgian unmarked from the free-kick, from which he made no mistake.

Arsenal will point to a penalty appeal turned down after Wan Bissaka appeared to handle Kolasinac's cross, but the visitors could, and maybe should have doubled their advantage through Kouyate and Benteke.

A big half coming up for Arsenal.

Solid foundations shown so far from the Bluebirds.
