Jack Butland starts in goal following Jordan Pickford’s composed performance against the Netherlands, while the Burnley defender James Tarkowski makes his international debut.

This is what England manager Gareth Southgate has had to say about tonight's match.
On his team selection: "We want to keep some stability. We made some good progress the other night but obviously we need to have another look at some other players. Tonight will be a good test."
On his decision to replace Jordan Pickford with Jack Butland: "He [Butland] knew he was playing at the end of last week. It's nice for Jack. Most of his caps have been away from Wembley so it's good for him to get a start here."
On his decision to retain Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lingard, and leave Alli on the bench again: "I think both of them were excellent the other night. We wanted to keep some continuity and [with regards to Alli's exclusion] Raheem did really well in the number 10 role."

Sterling: Show us some love
Raheem Sterling has urged England's fans to show their support to the team at Wembley tonight.
The Manchester City man told the BBC: "I feel sometimes there is too much negativity.
"I would love to hear some positive notes coming in, just to let the boys know everyone is behind them."
The players are out on the pitch at Wembley and kick-off is just moments away!

1' - England find themselves in immediate danger as Ciro Immobile breaks the offside trap and runs onto a through ball. John Stones makes a good recovery run though and dispossesses Immobile with a last-ditch challenge.

3' - John Stones is dispossessed by Ciro Immobile in a dreadful position and it looks for all the world as though the Italy striker will punish the Manchester City defender. However, Stones makes another decent recovery challenge to snuff out the danger.
Stones needs to wake up here.
