Neymar netted a controversial penalty to secure Brazil a hard-fought win against Uruguay in a friendly that was anything but on a dank night in London.

Arsenal's Emirates Stadium played host to the 76th meeting of these South American adversaries as they continued their build-up to next summer's Copa America.

Brazil are favourites to lift the trophy on home turf and Tite's men continued their impressive preparations with a narrow 1-0 victory through Neymar's late penalty.

This was a friendly in name only as referee Craig Pawson handed out eight bookings on a night when Uruguay's players were furious with the decision to give the Selecao a spot-kick after Diego Laxalt was adjudged to have fouled Manchester City's Danilo.

It looked harsh and added to a feisty occasion in which Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker had to be alert between the sticks for Brazil. PA

The match will be shown live on ITV 4 from 7:40pm. Viewers can also watch the match online via the ITV Hub.

Player to watch…

Neymar: The Brazil captain stated that he is willing to act as a mentor to Everton forward Richarlison but the Paris Saint-Germain forward also needs to address his own form, having not scored from open play for his country since their last-16 tie with Mexico in the World Cup in Russia. While his teammates this evening will have less international experience than usual, Neymar’s role will be of great importance if Brazil are to emerge victorious.

26 mins Wales 0-0 Denmark

But the corner is wasted and Wales break!

However, a promising counter is broken up as Allen chose the wrong option to pass too, seeking out Bale.

You can't really blame him most of the time for doing that!

28 mins: Netherlands 0-0 France

Chance France!

Flashbacks of the World Cup as Griezmann's disappointing free-kick is cleared by Netherlands... or so they thought!

The ball falls into the oncoming path of Benjamin Pavard and he takes aim from 30 yards out with the side of his boot and it flies narrowly over.

I'm sure you all remember his screamer in Russia.

6 mins Brazil 0-0 Uruguay

First action of the game as Neymar takes aim from a dead ball.

His 30-yard free-kick is easy for the keeper to deal with but he can only clear it for a corner.

GOAL DISALLOWED!! BRAZIL 0-0 URUGUAY

Fantastic football from the Brazilians who pass it from front to back with Firmino playing a big part in the action.

The ball comes to Luis on the left-hand side of the box who drills a pacey cross into the box and Neymar steers it into the goal.

The offside flag goes up though and he's probably correct. Tight though.

35 mins! CHANCE! Wales 0-0 Denmark

Excellent build up play from Wales and the ball is worked to the right-hand side where Connor Roberts lay in waiting.

He sends in a delightfully floated ball towards the far post where Gareth Bale is waiting, timing his running jump to perfection and making a connection with the ball.

But, his header somehow goes wide, and like Chester, he'll be left wondering how.

37 mins: FREE-KICK DANGEROUS POSITION DENMARK

Dummett is quite clearly carrying an injury and will be replaced by Chris Gunter who is coming on for his 92nd cap.

He's just given away a foul though before being replaced.

Minutes beforehand, Denmark should have taken the lead but their goal was wrongly judged to have been offside as Martin Braithwaite beats the defence and Hennessey but the linesman thinks otherwise.

Wales 0-0 Denmark

Denmark really look a threat going forward and Braithwaite who is having a great game sends in a teasing ball and it's Gunter who stops a Danish head from guiding it towards goal.

Wales hanging on at times, it seems.

42 mins: WALES 0-1 DENMARK! (Jorgensen)

What a fabulous goal it is.

Wales lose the ball and Denmark play it around in midfield before working it towards Yousef Poulsen on the right wing.

His touch is an absolute joy into the path of Jorgensen who is beyond the Welsh defenders with only Hennesey to beat.

He touches it into the net with a great deal of composure and Denmark have a huge advantage now.
