This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Maddison is at the left-back position in an attempt to have an impact on this game, and he's tripped while playing a one-two with Sarr. He takes the free-kick short to Johnson, who can't pick out a cross.

Willian's cross clears everyone in the middle, but Iwobi brings it down on the far side. He has the right idea as he pulls it back to the edge of the box, but Lukic makes no move to attack it, and Maddison is able to clear the danger.

Following their 4-0 win at Villa last time out, Spurs are looking to secure back-to-back away league wins for the first time since October. They've scored at least twice in each of their last six on the road, only once having a longer run in their league history (10 between April and October 1960).

GOOD SAVE! Palhinha steps in to win possession high upfield, and he pokes it out to the right for Iwobi, who helps it onto Lukic. He drills a low shot on goal which Vicario parries, and Muniz's follow-up is blocked by Romero.

The visitors win a free-kick on the right, and Porro whips in a good delivery, which causes some confusion. Sarr scuffs at his volley and Dragusin can't bring it under control to get a shot away either.

Spurs win their first corner of the game, and Johnson pulls it back to Maddison on the edge of the box. His floated cross creates space for Kulusevski on the opposite flank, but he can't keep it in play.

It's a wonderful chipped pass over the top from Palhinha to pick out Muniz's run between the Spurs centre-backs. It doesn't bounce kindly for him though, and Dragusin gets across well to nudge him away from it.

It's a positive run from Iwobi, who weaves away from two Spurs players before trying to set up a one-two with Muniz, but the forward is fouled. Fulham win a free-kick, and they're on the attack once more.

BLOCK! After such a long spell of possession, Spurs sloppily give it away in their own half, with Iwobi sliding it forward for Muniz in the box. Sarr slides in to block his effort, and Pereira's follow-up is deflected out for a corner off Dragusin.
