Harry Kane became Tottenham Hotspur’s joint all-time record goalscorer with the winner in his side’s 1-0 victory at Fulham in the Premier League on Monday.
Tottenham had been second-best in the first half at Craven Cottage but Kane produced a trademark finish on the stroke of halftime to notch his 266th goal for the Londoners.
Kane’s effort drew him level with the late Jimmy Greaves whose 266 goals came in 379 games. England skipper Kane reached the total in 415 appearances.
Fulham were the better side until Kane’s right-footed finish with Harrison Reed, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Willian all going close to giving the hosts the lead.
Kane even had the chance to break the record after halftime but headed straight at Fulham keeper Bernd Leno.
Victory revived Tottenham’s top-four hopes, leaving them in fifth place with 36 points, three behind Newcastle United and Manchester United who have both played a game less.

Spurs have won just one of their last 11 away London derbies in the Premier League (D4 L6), though it was their last one against Crystal Palace (4-0). They've not won consecutive such games since a run of four between February and November 2018.

Leno goes long, and Mitrovic cushions it down for Pereira, who drives through the middle. He looks to tee up the Serbian, but a heavy touch on the edge of the box takes it away from him.

CLOSE! Tete is given a lot of space down the right again and swings an early cross into the box. Mitrovic gets in front of Davies and thumps a header towards the near post. It bounces just wide before a belated offside flag goes up.

Willian brushes Kulusevski aside and squares it into the middle for Reed. Bentancur sells himself as Reed checks back inside, so he takes aim from the edge of the D, but Davies gets across to block it.

GOOD SAVE! It's played long over the top for De Cordova-Reid, who holds off Perisic to pull it back to Pereira. He fizzes a dangerous cross into the box which Reed meets first time, and Lloris is in the right place to smother it.
