Fulham vs Brighton & Hove Albion LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction
Live action from Craven Cottage as Brighton look to continue their good start to the new season against newly-promoted Fulham
Aleksandar Mitrovic struck again for Fulham as they brought Brighton’s unbeaten start to the season to an end with a 2-1 win at Craven Cottage.
The Serbia forward had already exceeded his tally of three in Fulham’s last Premier League season and he netted his fifth of the new campaign shortly after half-time to break the deadlock.
The hosts added another almost immediately afterwards when Lewis Dunk turned an Andreas Pereira cross into his own net.
Last time the sides met in the top flight during the 2020-21 season, they played out two goalless draws and they looked on course to do so again when the first half finished without a breakthrough, before Mitrovic’s opener.
The result leaves Fulham with eight points after an impressive start to the campaign which kicked off with a surprising draw against Liverpool on the first weekend.

Fulham's best attacking spells have all come through Pereira, who ended the half with a single shot and completed one key pass. He completed 12 in total in Brighton's half, as well as swinging in three crosses and winning a free-kick. He's lost the ball 15 times though, winning it thrice, which shows just how disjointed this game has been at times.

A rather forgettable first half comes to an end, with neither side really able to assert themselves in the game so far. Fulham have had opportunities in fits and starts, but have only tested Sanchez once, with Palhinha's header from a corner. Brighton, meanwhile, have been very sluggish, creating very little in the way of chances and looking porous in midfield. It's still 0-0 though, so both sides know they can improve in the second half, and they'll really need to if either is to find a winner.

Fulham have picked up four points in their first two home Premier League matches this season, a tally that took them six home games to reach in their last top-flight campaign in 2020-21. The Cottagers are looking for consecutive home Premier League wins for the first time since April 2019.

Mwepu drops into midfield to pick up a forward pass, and looks for Gross on the run into the box, but the Zambian overhits his pass and the ball goes out for a goal kick.
