The Arsenal manager has traditionally treated this competition as a chance to blood his promising youngsters.
But with a burgeoning first team squad and several senior players still searching for form and fitness, it looks like he will be picking his B-team rather than his U19s.

"Calum Chambers will be involved against Doncaster,” the Frenchman confirmed this week. “Jack Wilshere is involved too. Mesut [Ozil] is training again, but [he will not feature]. He has a little inflammation of his knee.
"Danny [Welbeck] had a scan, we don’t know how bad his groin injury is but he will certainly be out until the international break. Coquelin as well. Debuchy is coming back slowly."

Jack Wilshere. The England international has endured a tough time of late, with a broken leg towards the end of last season ruining the last of his loan spell at Bournemouth and hampering his pre-season. Nevertheless, Wenger still has faith in the midfielder and with Arsenal’s midfield spots still looking up for grabs, some strong performances in cup competition could see him come back into contention.

Reiss Nelson. The 17-year-old is the latest in a long line of promising youngsters to come through the Arsenal academy with huge hopes for the future. The forward has earned the backing of his more senior colleagues and fans of the club have huge expectations for him following several eye-catching performances for the youth teams. He now needs to prove he can live up to the hype.

The visitors have enjoyed a couple of chances but it has been all Arsenal at the Emirates. The home side opened the scoring through Theo Walcott and should have picked up another couple of goals. It's been a bright start from the likes of Jack Wilshere, Alexis Sanchez and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
GOAL! Manchester United 3-0 Burton (Lingard, 37 min)
It may have been Lingard's finish but this was Martial's goal. The Frenchman lost his man on the edge of the Burton box with some quick feet before charging forward to tee up Lingard to his right. The youngster let loose but his effort took a fortunate deflection to roll past the Burton keeper, who had dived the other way, into the back of the net.

Arsenal still hold that lead given to them by Theo Walcott but have had a frustrating start to the second-half with an organised Doncaster Rovers side giving them little in the way of goal mouth action. The visitors almost had a chance to level just now, but for Maitland-Niles to showcase his blistering pace and snuff out Alfie May's run forward.
Meanwhile, Everton lead Sunderland by two goals - both courtesy of the youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin. After their recent woes in the Premier League, a confident win tonight is just what they need.
GOAL! Manchester United 4-0 Burton Albion (Martial, 60 min)
The Frenchman finally gets onto the goalsheet - and deservedly so. Set up by a neat ball from Rashford on the edge of the Burton box, Martial picks out the bottom right corner with an assertive finish to add to what was has already been an impressive display this evening.
