Everton vs West Ham United
Everton are defeated 3-1 against West Ham at Goodison Park. The game was 0-0 at the break, Beto had an opportunity from the penalty spot to open the scoring in the first half, with Areola making an excellent save to deny him. The Toffees eventually found a goal despite Areola keeping the Hammers in the game, as Beto headed home from a Garner cross. Just a few minutes later, Zouma fired in an equaliser, nodding in Ward-Prowse's corner. Dyche's side continued to push and produced 22 shots in the match, with 11 of those on target, but it was Moyes' men who found the next goal. Soucek struck a superb outside-of-the-foot effort, which flew into the top corner to make it 2-1. With Everton throwing everything at it in the final few minutes, the Hammers counter-attacked and Bowen slipped in Alvarez, who dinked it over Pickford to seal the game. The Toffees will be looking to bounce back against Manchester United next weekend, while West Ham are in Europa League action against Freiburg during the week. That's all for today, goodbye!
