Everton manager Sean Dyche, who has won both his home games since taking over from Frank Lampard, named the same team which beat Leeds last weekend.

Dyche is looking to become the fifth permanent Everton manager to win each of his first three home league games in charge of the club, after William Edward Barclay (1888), Dick Molyneux (1889), Harry Catterick (1961) and Rafael Benitez (2021). Dyche could be the first to do so without conceding.

Everton vs Aston Villa
Although Villa are 11th in the Premier League table, three defeats on the bounce have edged them closer to the relegation battle. Unai Emery was certainly displeased in his post-match interview after the way his side lost late on to Arsenal, but this will be a good opportunity to get back to winning ways. Ollie Watkins has been a silver lining despite Villa’s poor form, having scored in each of the last four games.
Everton vs Aston Villa
After a disappointing display against Liverpool, Everton bounced back with a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Leeds to move out of the relegation zone. The Toffees have won two of their three games since Sean Dyche took over, keeping a clean sheet in both of those wins too. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will be looking to do his part in helping the club stay up as he signed a new contract this week, keeping him in Merseyside until 2027.
